Mr. Gary Goldstein, LICSW is the Coordinator  of Andover Counseling Center's referral programs. He specializes in individual and couple counseling for individuals with depression and stress/anxiety related issues. His approach is directed at understanding specific client concerns/needs in order to effectively help individuals work on issues identified.

Dr. Janice Goldstein, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with over twenty-five years of professional experience. She treats children and their families as well as adults. Her specialties include: ADHD, Asperger's, Learning Disorders as well as anxiety and depression.  She is the supervising coordinator of our testing and evaluation unit as well as the social skills program.  Dr. Goldstein is available for consultation and advocacy around individuals with learning or school placement issues.

 

Ms. Karen MacDonald Fehr, LICSW has been practicing since 1978. She was trained in traditional psychodynamic therapy and sees couples, families and individuals for short term as well as longer term therapy.

Ms. Kate Goldfield, M.ED., LMHC has focused her work on adolescent development and family systems therapy for the past 25 years. Having worked in high schools and now as Assistant Dean of Students at Brandeis, she specializes in transition, identity, and young women’s developmental issues as well as family therapy. Kate divides her time between Brandeis University and Andover Counseling.

Angelica Acevedo, LICSW is an experienced bilingual, multi-cultural and compassionate therapist. With a strong background in community outreach, her counseling is very individualized as she works with a variety of clients, especially children from diverse backgrounds. Ms. Acevedo received her B.A. in psychology from Mount Holyoke College and her Masters in Social Work from Simmons College.

Rob Craig-Comin, LICSW has been practicing social work since 1979. With couples he focuses on helping them to use better tone and pace in their interactions, leading to safe, more intimate connections. With individuals (adolescents and adult) he makes elements of relational, cognitive and psychodynamics approaches in ways which best meet each client's needs. He specialized in men' s issues, ADHD and anger management, as well as anxiety and depression.

Linda J. Vasconcellos, LICSW has been in clinical practice since 1979. With experience in the field of early intervention she works with children as young as 3 with their parents on behavioral and emotional concerns. Practice also includes adults dealing with issues of loss/separation as well as anxiety and depression.  Families seeking help coping with diagnoses such as ADHD, Autism and Aspergers are welcomed.

Our Therapy Practitioners

Dr. Strandberg is a licensed psychologist with specialized training in pediatric neuropsychology. Her clinical interests are wide-ranging and include neurologically-  based conditions (e.g., ADHD and autism spectrum disorders), learning disorders, anxiety and depression, life transitions, parenting issues, reproductive difficulties, and pregnancy/postpartum adjustment. Dr. Strandberg engages clients in a collaborative and accepting therapeutic process that utilizes their strengths to promote insight and positive change. She uses the most appropriate evidenced- based techniques to meet each client’s unique needs, drawing upon cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and relational models. Dr. Strandberg provides individual therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. She additionally works with parents within the context of supporting their children with behavioral, socioemotional, and learning challenges.
